Title - SaskPower's Net Zero Emissions Plan
SaskPower is joining us to share their plans to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the power grid – they’re aiming for net zero emissions by 2050. For those interested, SaskPower will be running stakeholder engagement sessions related to the development of this plan on May 6th. Here are the registration details:
Andrew Munro, Manager of Supply Planning, SaskPower - Andrew is an electrical engineer. He’s SaskPower’s Manager of Supply Planning where he looks after SaskPower’s long-term plans for maintaining enough power on the system to meet the province’s electricity requirements while balancing the need to keep rates affordable, adapt and comply with changing regulations and continue to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Nathan Hoffart, Manager of Customer Generation and Program Development, SaskPower - Nathan is the Manager of Customer Generation and Program Development. He leads the development of SaskPower’s new customer programs and services including customer generation, electric vehicles and energy efficiency.
Leanne Jarocki, Stakeholder Engagement, SaskPower - Leanne is a member of SaskPower’s stakeholder engagement team in Corporate Relations and Communications. Leanne is currently leading SaskPower’s engagement program on power supply options. The goal of the program is to share information about all of the options SaskPower is evaluating to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Leanne will also support SaskPower’s upcoming engagement program on the potential for nuclear power from small modular reactors (SMRs) in Saskatchewan.
