Re: EMTF Breakfast Presentation Online

November 10th, 2020, 7:30am
Online Presentation

Note - this Tuesday meeting date was pushed back from our regular meeting date due to the civic election blackout.

Title - Home Energy Loan Program Design Recommendations
The presentation purpose is to collect feedback on recommended program options for the Home Energy Loan Program before a council report is written. These options were refined using public and industry feedback through the use of an online survey. This presentation is an opportunity to close the loop on program options and discuss any concerns or comments outstanding on the program design.

Hilary Carlson - is originally from Saskatoon and completed her Bachelors of Commerce degree in 2015 and her Masters of Professional Accounting Degree in 2017 both from the University of Saskatchewan. She later obtained her and later her CPA designation in 2018. She joined the City of Saskatoon in 2018 as the Project Manager for the Low Emissions Community Plan and is currently in the role of a Greenhouse Gas Controls specialist working toward implementation of projects at the city that reduce emissions. Her current project, the Home Energy Loan Program is a program that allows home owners to take out a loan from the city that is re-paid on their property taxes. These loans are exclusively for energy efficiency, renewable energy and water conservation upgrades and have the potential to enable multiple actions within the Low Emissions Community Plan.
