Sustainability: Energy and Material Flows Through Natural and Human Systems.

Darrin Qualman is the author of Civilization Critical: Energy, Food, Nature, and the Future, published earlier this year. In November, he released a plan to reduce GHG emissions from agriculture by 50 percent by mid-century. He was a farmer and, for 15 years, a senior staffperson with the National Farmers Union. He is currently working with the City of Saskatoon developing a long-term water-conservation strategy. He has degrees in Political Studies, Biology, and History.
