Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Salam received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Mansoura University in Egypt in 2009, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 2015.
Between 2012 and 2016, he has done international research on Solar Air Conditioning, Building Energy Modeling, Waste Heat Recovery and other Net-Zero Energy technologies. Ahmed's research has resulted in over 15 journal and conference papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences, and many presentations in Africa, Europe and North America.
Ahmed joined Nortek Air Solutions in 2016 as a R&D Engineer, where he has worked on the design, invention and modelling of novel cooling systems for several world-class Data Center. Ahmed is a member in ASHRAE TC9.9 (which focus on developing Data Center Standards on Guidelines) and APEGS’ Academic Review Committee.
